Are you tired of searching for info on being a real estate investor and finding mountains of junk ads like this? There is a better way!

There are a lot of people out there that would like to get into real estate investing, but have no idea where to start, who to talk to and so on. I know this for a fact because in times gone by, my husband and I have read about every real estate investing book out there and scoured the web for information on investing in real estate. The reality is that all the reading in the world won’t make you an expert real estate investor!

Like the ad above, there are more people selling proverbial gold pans than there are mines these days. One real estate guru after another, from Donald Trump to Carleton Sheets and Robert Allen, all claim to have the one system for generating wealth with real estate. The problem is that most of these ‘guru’s’ are not actually practicing what they preach. Realistically, how much time can they spend investing in real estate if they are doing seminars all across the country? The exception to this are people like Donald Trump, who for the most part is just using his name to sell seminars and classes that other people teach.

The appeal for real estate gurus to teach ‘their real estate secret’ is obvious, there is a lot of profit in it. Consider that the price for a weekend boot camp can be $1,500 on up to over $3,000 and week long training sessions run much higher, there is a large profit margin in selling their secrets. The problem is that most people aren’t getting anything useful out of their investment.

Part of the problem is that after the typical boot camp, you are left working in a vacuum. Unless of course you bought some extra ‘coaching sessions’. I think this is part of the reason that most people that take weekend seminars and boot camps never actually buy a property. There is no support or encouragement to get in and take action.
