I was surprised to see this in the news today.  Apparently the numbers are out and the average time that a person in the Seattle area spends commuting has gone down in recent years!

There is a lot of conjecture in the article as to why, citing gas prices, the economy and so on.  What is your opinion?  Has traffic around Seattle been better lately?
