So…you are sitting in your home, looking at your for sale sign and taking inventory of the of the many other signs littered up and down your street.  Thats right folks!  Whether you are trying to sell in Lynnwood, Edmonds, Bothell, Everett or Bellevue, the competition is fierce.  How do you set yourselves apart?  First of all, take a look at your home through a fresh pair of eyes.  How is the paint?  Is the carpet worn and in need of cleaning or repair?  Are the door knobs loose and the closet doors squeeking?  Is it free of clutter?  Will people be tripping over things as they walk through?  All these things might seem small, but add them up and you are kicking potential buyers out of your home.  So make the list and “Git er done!”  Next, hire a stager.  These professionals can come in, make suggestions and arrange your home in the most pleasing configuration with either your own items or items from their inventory.

The fact is that on average buyers will make a decision on whether your home is “the one” in a 10 minute time frame.  Make those 10 minutes count!  Spending a little money up front can make you win the competition and come out thousands ahead.  So don’t rush to put your home on the market until it is ready.  By the way, if your real estate agent is worth their salt, they should have already gone over this with you prior to listing your home.  If not, call me!  I know a great agent with experience in selling and staging….oh wait…it’s me.
